Le Petit Prince d'Antoine de Saint-Exupéry was and remains a classic of 20th century literature. Maria Popova at Brain Pickings is a writer and MIT Fellow who writes about beautiful things that strike her fancy, such as Le Petit Prince and other works.
Today is the anniversary of the publishing of Le Petit Prince, and Popova wrote an interesting article back in 2014 commemorating this event. She discusses Saint-Exupéry and his watercolors, among other things. Her articles are always enlightening and fun to read.
Popova discusses in another article the impact this book had on author and illustrator Peter Sis. Sis wrote his own book about Le Petit Prince, complete with his own illustrations inspired by those of Saint-Exupéry.
